Touring with Poverty of Ideals

Last month we were lucky enough to get to travel around the country with some of the raddest and most talented musicians in the country. We hired a big van, slammed some gear in it and hit the road for a double album launch with Poverty of Ideals to promote 'Chapters' and 'Barriers'. First stop of the weekend was Mercury in Cape Town. OhGod - were the support act for the night, and seeing as none of us knew the band or what they sounded like we were quite intrigued. and.... Oh! God did they impress us! They are a 4 piece instrumental band from CPT that know how to write some flippin killer tunes. Check them out HERE. We got to hang with the guys for a bit after the show - stella guys! It was so good to see some old friends and even some JHB people!

Right after a 4 hour nap, we left the cape and headed straight for Port Elizabeth - 'The Windy City'. After a long ride and loads of banter we arrived at what seemed like 5 star accommodation (Thanks Sebs!). It had been a little while since we had been to PE, so to chat to friends from a couple years back was quite a nostalgic trip but well worth it. Pool City brought a laid back party and some good vibes! A resident PE trio (whose name alludes me at this time of writing) opened up the night with some straight up rock n roll riffage, leather pants, and even a Jimmy Hendrix cover. They played a solid show and got the locals vibing.

Travelling around South Africa definitely feels like a privilege in the way we get to meet people and experience different cities. Thanks to everyone that came out and supported us in Cape Town and Port Elizabeth! Here's some images from the trip:

FtG Chosen as an Opener for Every Time I Die in Pretoria

Support announced for Every Time I Die and they are equally brutal!

About a month ago Jägermeister SA in association with Hilltop Live announced Every Time I Die on South
African soil for the first time ever. Now we bring the thunder with a further announcement! Supporting
Every Time I Die at !Arcade Empire in Pretoria on Friday the 26 April are Sesling, Truth and It’s Burden,
Facing The Gallows and Pestroy. On 27 April at The Assembly in Cape Town Yes Sir! Mister Machine and
Enmity heed the call to arms!

Facing the Gallows had this to say about their inclusion in the line-up. "Since before our conception
we've all been fans of ETID and have wanted nothing more than to be in the crowd at one of their crazy
shows. To be able to share a stage with them is nothing short of a dream come true. It's so good to see

Its been a while since we've posted some news but we're excited to display the album artwork for 'This is Hate City', as well as present a free download containing a track from each from FTG and TDWT. The artwork was done by the masterful Godmachine!

The whole concept we sent to Godmachine was a rather open ended one, and after throwing around some ideas and emails, Godmachine presented this African sunset with JHB in the distance.

When we saw the first sketches, we were already super amped, and the final result is mind blowing. So big ups to GM, and thanks for being a great guy to work with. We hope you guys dig it. Here's a little mention we got on GM's Blog.

At Practice with FtG

Our dear friend Mr Brendan Jack came round to one of our practices to take a few snaps of our awesome jam room, which doubles up as one of Bryan's mom's nursery school classes.
Although it looks all pink and child-like, it is metal as fuck! The pics came out sick and captured the room awesomely.
