The Ghost Inside - Tour Update

After Bryan's quick little pit stop for not knowing how to party, FTG & TDWT smashed it to Dirtbin for the show at the Pavilion Revolution Skatepark. The turnout was super-rad, and the first out of town show kicked ass. The dudes skated the park the entire time and we absolutely wrecked ourselves on those ramps and were aching for the rest of tour. After the show we neglected Johnny's rotis and were hosted at Jimmy's place (big ups Jimmy!) and were interviewed over some wine and a Jefferey by none other than durban's Bob. Unfortunately, due to Bob's state of soberness the interview didn't record... Next day: Port Elizabeth.

The Ghost Inside destroyed Jesters

Straight after the Jesters show all 4 bands had quite a drive to Cape Town for the Stellenbosch show. We drove straight throught the night with a van that smelt like a dead rat (thanks to Jeremy's shoes). The Stellenbosch show was at the Son Skatepark, which was killer, and we got to skate again. Cadillac had some hard slams in the bowl and Sheldon showed us how its done.

TGI - Stellenbosch

From Sunday to Thursday we were hosted by the awesome Murray and his house mates in Newlands (KINGS! and queen). These guys were amazing and let 10 dudes crash in their lounge, abuse their xbox, smoke their house up, party as loud as we wanted and still have smiles whenever we saw them. After the Stellenbosch show guys got rowdy and polished 4 bottles of Jager and a couple snacks.

We had two days off in Cape Town which we tried to abuse, though the first day turned out to be a recovery day. The following day we were asked to give a lecture at Vega about music videos. We then ended up at Neighbourhood in Long Street (you gotta try that place) for lunch and probably the raddest interview we've done for an article about the tour which will be coming out soon.

Neighbourhood - Long Street

Long Street - Cape town

The day of the last show we took a walk to the train station and caught a train down the coast to Kalk Bay. The Cape has got to be the most incredible place in the world, the scenery is something else. Vis n Tjips at the Brass Bell got us sorted.

Mercury hosted the last show of the tour, and hot dam! it was a show to end the tour.

The following morning we headed straight for Bloemfontein and were lucky enough to stay with Rudi. The most hospitable guys in the country come from Bloem, it's fact. Huge thanks to Rudi, Murray and his roomies, Jimmy and the Durban crew, Cam and Jesters, and of course Sheldon for looking after us!

This Tour couldn't have happened without everyone supporting at shows, its what we love and support. Big ups to The Dead Will Tell for sharing the entire tour, Lloyd, Truth and its Burden, Chris and Matt for the sound rig, Jagermeister, Revolution, Macbeth, Music Connection, Handstyle Tattoo's and of course Ashley and TGI for making it all happen and coming over to SA.
